Helen Baldassare Cabaret Performance Workshop subject of NY Times story.
When NBC's "Today" show began planning for a story about Katie Couric's "fantasy job" -- cabaret singer -- they arranged for Ms. Couric to study with the best: Helen Baldassare and her Cabaret Performance Workshop. The May 1999 broadcast of the story was informative and entertaining -- an excellent documentation of all that the Workshop offers. Now, as the Helen Baldassare Cabaret Performance Workshop continues to grow and prosper, another major story is about to break, and we're happy to pass on the news to our Manhattan Live Performance friends. Have a look at the Friday, November 29th edition of The New York Times. In the "Weekend" section, you'll find a story by Times writer Joseph Berger about a recent class at the Workshop. Publication of this story will do much to spread the word, drawing more and more students to the Cabaret Performance Workshop -- singers, professional and amateur, who will join the scores of others who have come before; students who will ultimately echo the comments of a previous student who said, "The joy I had taking this class was enormous." For information, go to CabaretPerformanceWorkshop.com to read about the history of the Workshop, current class offerings and much, much more. |
