 Nicci Nicholas was back at DON'T TELL MAMA with a new show, But The World Goes On, and I was absolutely thrilled by her rich alto vocals.
With the amazing Ross Patterson at the piano, Ms. Nicholas presented a variety of songs that began with "The Other Side of the Tracks" and ended with "Over the Rainbow" as she gave us a brief musical tour of her viewpoint on life. I especially enjoyed the deep, lush reading of "When October Goes," and "Time Heals Everything" - both songs heard often in cabaret, but somehow fresh and new in this show. The show was directed by Michael Ferreri, and he was beaming with pride at the end of the show - it was a nearly perfect outing.
